    Yes, all our Carer are fully employed by Watershed Care Services. We prioritise the safety and well-being of our clients by conducting comprehensive criminal background checks on each staff member. Additionally, every CareGiver is covered by general liability and workers' compensation insurance, ensuring peace of mind for both our staff and the families we serve.

  • Will my family member always have the same Carer?

    We strive to maintain consistency by assigning the same Carer to your loved one to foster a deep and trusting relationship. However, depending on the number of care hours needed per day or the variety of times care is required throughout the week, it may be necessary to involve multiple Carers.

    Regardless of how many Carers assist your loved one, our commitment remains unchanged: We are dedicated to your satisfaction and will ensure that the care experience meets your expectations. If you ever feel the need to request a different Carers, we are committed to accommodating your preferences until you are completely satisfied.

  • Can Watershed Care Services assist with medications?

    Medication management varies by location. While some of our offices are authorised to administer medications directly, we recommend contacting your local Watershed Care Services office to confirm the specific services available.

    Even if direct medication administration isn't available, all our locations offer medication reminders as a standard service. This includes reminding your loved one when it's time to take their medication, monitoring for any side effects, and assisting with the use of pre-measured medication packages to ensure safety and accuracy. Medication reminders are among our most frequently requested services, highlighting our commitment to comprehensive and attentive care.

  • Will I have a choice in selecting who comes to my home?

    Absolutely. Your involvement in choosing the right Carer is crucial to us. We use a proprietary screening and selection process to ensure the best match between our CareGivers and your specific needs, effectively removing much of the guesswork from the pairing process.

    Your satisfaction is paramount. We commit to accommodating any preferences or requests for changes in CareGivers to ensure that you are comfortable and fully satisfied with the care provided in your home.

  • Can I change or discontinue the services provided to my loved one?

    Absolutely. We recognise that care needs can change rapidly, so we offer flexible service options that can be adjusted according to your loved one's evolving needs. You can modify the number or type of services whenever necessary.

    You are not locked into a long-term contract with Watershed Care Services, allowing you the freedom to discontinue services at your discretion. Please note that all changes are contingent on our staff’s availability and must comply with the terms and conditions outlined in your care provision contract.

  • How can I verify that a care shift was completed?

    To ensure transparency and accountability, our Staff sign-in using our electronic monitoring system and complete time sheets at the end of each visit. In addition to these time sheets, our Carers maintain detailed notes during each visit, which stored electronically and available upon request These notes provide a comprehensive record of the services delivered, including the times of the Carers arrival and departure.

    Furthermore, after services are rendered, we issue itemised invoices that outline each session's specific details. This process not only allows you to review and ask questions about any aspect of the care provided but also enables us to make any necessary adjustments to the schedule before finalising your invoice. This system ensures you are well-informed and satisfied with the care we provide.

  • Do I need a doctor’s authorisation to use your services?

    No, a doctor’s authorisation is not required to begin using our services. You have the freedom to select the services you need, decide when to start them, and determine how often they are utilised.

    If you require assistance with billing a private insurance policy, such as long-term care insurance, we are fully prepared to support you through the benefits coordination process. This support includes providing all necessary documentation to ensure you receive proper reimbursement from your insurance carrier.

  • What are the costs of your services?

    The cost of our services is tailored to meet each family’s unique needs and budget. The total cost is influenced by several factors including:

  • Are home care services covered by insurance or NHS Social Services?

    The coverage for home care services by insurance or NHS Social Services can vary based on several factors including your specific needs and financial situation. While Social Services may cover certain aspects of home care, the exact support you receive will depend on a detailed assessment of your needs and financial circumstances. Additionally, we can assist with alternative funding options such as Direct Payments or Personalised Budgets offered by your local Social Services department.   • Do I pay the Carer directly?

    No, you do not pay CareGivers directly. All billing is handled through our office—you (or an authorised representative) will receive an invoice after the completion of services, typically on a bi-weekly or monthly basis. You will never be asked to pay any additional fees directly to our employees, ensuring a transparent and straightforward payment process.

  • How is the privacy of my personal information maintained?

    At Watershed Care Services, we take the privacy of your personal information very seriously. Rest assured, your information is never sold to any third parties. Access to your information is strictly limited to office personnel and Carer who are directly involved in providing care to your loved one.
