Out of Hours Service
Essential support available beyond standard office hours
At Watershed Care Services, we recognise the need for continued care and support outside of normal working hours. Our Out of Hours (OOH) service is designed to provide critical assistance to our Service Users and Home Care Workers during times when the main office is closed. This service is intended for urgent needs that cannot wait until the next business day.
Availability
The OOH service is available during specific hours which are listed at the top right-hand side of each page on our website. Please refer to this timing for accurate service hours.
When to Use the OOH Service:
For Service Users:
Unexpected Absence of Carer: If a carer fails to attend a scheduled visit.
Immediate Changes to Care Plans: For example, if you plan to go out unexpectedly and need to adjust care schedules.
Safeguarding Issues: If you need to report a safeguarding matter urgently.
For Home Care Workers:
Further Assistance for a Service User: If a service user requires additional help, including medical assistance.
Access Issues: If you encounter problems accessing a service user’s home.
Absence at Scheduled Times: If a service user is not present at the time of a scheduled call.
Inability to Attend a Scheduled Call: If you are unable to attend a scheduled visit for any reason.
Safeguarding Concerns: Urgent reporting of any safeguarding matters.
Communication Protocol:
Direct Communication Required: All OOH interactions must be conducted via phone with the OOH Coordinator. Text messages are not acceptable for communicating during OOH.
For situations that are not urgent, please address your concerns during normal office hours. This ensures that our OOH service remains available for those who need immediate assistance.
